My grandfather's early industrial design career was heavily influenced by the Art Deco movement.  My family cherishes the illustrations he created that survive.  I've attempted to become a digital curator of his work, scanning what I can into a digital archive, since many are fading and brittle.  This is an illustration he did in 1945 of in gouache on Canson paper.  I believe I'm one of the last generation of designers who learned to illustrate designs this way.  I honestly miss it.  Computer illustration can be amazing, but it's not as satisfying for me.  I suppose that's why I paint as a hobby.  Click this text to see what I have scanned so far.
